Piero Piccioni - L’Impiegato
Piccioni's music commentary - transferred for the occasion at 96khz from the composer's original master tapes - beautifully accompanies the film's dreamy atmosphere. It explores the many possibilities of jazz styles, swinging from big band and cool jazz to boogie-woogie.
Early in the composer's career, the movie score contains examples of the style Piero became famous for, like the marches (Trumpet March) and especially his eerie and suspended melodies (Entropy).
Scattered through the album Piero Piccioni's scats at the piano and Lydia MacDonald's sublime vocals are also great signature marks in this soundtrack. Enjoy
